Life at Sea- Day 2

WE love the beach!

Climbing down the steps, one by one, Miss Jillian watches as we wade into the water!

This is the perfect spot for catching crabs, shrimp, fish and lots of other sea creatures.

Not only have we been busy exploring the ocean,
we have also been creating lots of great ocean art!

Week 3- Life at Sea!!!

On the first day of Life at Sea week, Campers were eager to get down to the water!

Equipped with nets, buckets and a sharp eye, campers combed the beach for interesting sea specimen!

Glad we have those water shoes! Here Alex steps in to take a closer look.

A beautiful day at Sea!

Plaaaay Ball!

Every artist needs to retreat from the studio to stimulate that creative brainpower.
Time for kickball.. every artists perfect escape!

Here the outfield anxiously awaits the next at bat.

Artists in action! Looks like a pretty good pitch to me!

Time to cool off after the game!

Aborigonal Art

Up next was aborigonal art! Here Grace grins as she uses this tribal technique.

There is always LOTS of encouragement among the artists...here Aden smiles at Colleen's interpretation of an Aborigonal Frog!

A proud Jeana put together an impressive piece!

Tah-dah! The finished project...don't they look great?!

Day 3- Fun Finds!

After hunting for pine cones, sticks, leaves and acorns yesterday, today they would be turning these ordinary objects into EXTRAORDINARY creatures!

Here Aden carefully crafts her creature.

Tobi really got into his work as you can see by the tacky glue on his face!

Emily decided that she would rather decorate herself, and so SHE became the art.

Our Turn!

After seeing Martha's painting skills, it was time to head out and see what we could do! It was the campers turn to paint, so we headed out to the beautiful North Garden!

Here Martha gave a few pointers as the campers worked away on their masterpieces!

There are so many perfect views to capture with paint at Blithewold!
These campers chose to peacefully paint among the flowers!

Each camper found a special spot to spend a sunny day, painting away.

Nature Hunt!

Hi-ho! Hi-ho! It's off to the gardens we go! Fashionably sporting their newly created art supply backpacks, pals Grace and Kathryn follow the rest of the campers onto the grounds! We're off to stock up on pine cones, sticks rocks and shells...natures finest art supplies!

No rock, pinecone or stick is left unturned as the campers scour the Earth for whatever it is that inspires them!

The search continues under the branches in the shade, what a lovely place to play with friends!
